INFORMATION BUSINESS EFFICACY GATHERS AND TRACKS

Business Efficacy gathers two types of information about users:

Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our electronic newsletters, eBooks, to participate in polls and/or assessments, or to contact us for more information.

Information Business Efficacy gathers through tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our sites. This information allows us to better tailor our content to readers' needs and to better understand the demographics of our audience. Under no circumstances does Business Efficacy provide any information about an individual user to a third party.

We offer the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users:

ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS POLICY (EMAIL)
We will offer a free electronic newsletter to users. Business Efficacy gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the unsubscribe page.

POLLS/ASSESSMENTS/RESEARCH STUDIES
We may offer interactive polls, assessment and/or research study tools to users so they can easily share their opinions with other users and/or assess their organizational readiness and effectiveness for certain sales and marketing processes. Business Efficacy may use a system to "tag" users after they have participated in a poll/assessment or research study, so they can participate only once on a particular poll/assessment or research study.

USAGE TRACKING
Business Efficacy tracks user traffic patterns throughout our site. This information is kept for Business Efficacy's use only, and to better target and serve our audience with relevant information and services.
We use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas.

COOKIES
We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information although it will enable us to relate your use of this site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Business Efficacy uses cookies to track user traffic patterns (as described above).

USE OF INFORMATION
Business Efficacy uses any information we gather to enhance our user's experience with our company and the services we provide.
As stated above, we use information that users provide in order to send out electronic newsletters, to develop and evolve the content at our site, and to enable users to participate in polls, research studies and/or assessments. We send out newsletters to subscribers on a regular schedule (depending on the newsletter), and occasionally send out special editions when we think subscribers might be particularly interested in something we are doing. The information gathered is for internal use by Business Efficacy, unless specified otherwise.
For example, if you participate in a research study, it will be indicated that the overall results may be used in the resulting report. The information submitted will not be used individually nor will the contributors be identified. You will also be offered the opportunity to request a copy of the report for the research studies in which you choose to participate.

SHARING OF THE INFORMATION
Business Efficacy uses the information described above to tailor our interactions as well as our content to better suit your needs. We will not share information about individual users with any third party except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.

Business Efficacy operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

OPT-OUT POLICY
Business Efficacy gives users options wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include: Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters, or opting out if you would rather not receive them in the future.
